Adjunct Professor Jean-Frédéric Levesque, MD PHD FRCP

Photo supplied.Dr Jean-Frédéric Levesque is an Adjunct Professor at the Centre for Primary Health Care and Equity at the University of New South Wales. He has authored more than 150 peer reviewed publications and his seminal research on healthcare access and inequity has been cited more than 2,000 times.

Jean-Frédéric Levesque has a Medical Degree, a Masters in Community Health and a Doctorate in Public Health from the Université de Montréal, Canada. He brings extensive leadership in healthcare systems analysis and improvement, combining experience in clinical practice in refugee health and tropical medicine, in clinical governance and in academic research.

 

Dr Kim Sutherland

Prior to her appointment to OHMR, she held Director roles at the Agency for Clinical Innovation and the Bureau of Health Information. Kim is a health services researcher with experience in performance measurement and reporting, evaluation and assessment of quality, and change management in healthcare organisations. She played a central role in the development of performance measurement frameworks in NSW and the UK and co-authored a series of reports on the English NHS quality agenda. Kim holds a Master of Science from London Hospital Medical College, a Master of Business Administration from Imperial College London and a PhD from the University of Cambridge. In 2022, Kim received the Public Service Medal for outstanding public service to NSW Health.

 

Dr Laura Collie
Senior Medical Advisor and Manager of Advanced Therapeutics

Dr Collie is a Public Health Physician, with a Bachelor of Science (Immunobiology), Bachelor of Medicine/Surgery, Master of Public Health (Infectious Disease Epidemiology and Control), Graduate Diploma in Environmental Health Practices, Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine, and is currently undertaking a Professional Doctorate in Public Health through the UNSW Future Health Leaders Program that examines how health decision makers can better support knowledge translation through partnership with health and medical researchers. Dr Collie established the Advanced Therapeutics team within OHMR to support the development and delivery of next generation therapeutics into the NSW Health system.

 

Dr John A Lawson B.Med FRACP PhD
Medical Director, Rural, Regional and Remote Clinical Trial Enabling Program

Dr John Lawson is Child Neurologist and Epilepsy Specialist with more than 35 years of service to NSW public hospitals. He is an Associate Senior Lecturer at UNSW and is a VMO Paediatric Neurologist at Sydney Children’s Hospital. In 2022, Dr Lawson joined the team at NSW Health’s Office for Health and Medical Research to lead to Rural, Regional and Remote Clinical Trial Enabling Program as the Medical Director.

 

Kate McGregor
Director, Finance, Infrastructure & Performance

Kate has over 20 years’ experience in marketing, communications and business operations. She has worked on public-health campaigns; communications and stakeholder engagement strategies for high profile issues; and has provided advice to senior executives and government on strategy, policy, financial and operational initiatives. Her experience spans across corporate, government and not-for profit sectors. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Business Administration.

 

 

Anne O'Neill
Director, Enterprise, International Partnerships and Clinical Trials

Anne has over 25 years’ experience in the health, medical research and policy sectors. She is responsible for leading the development and implementation of major policies and programs to enhance medical research capacity in NSW, and raise the profile of NSW research and development nationally and internationally. She is responsible for the NSW Medical Device Fund and NSW Commercialisation Training Program – both have been critical to accelerating the development of NSW intellectual property and the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs in NSW. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Physiology and Pharmacology) (Hons) and an Executive Masters of Public Administration.
